I'm enjoying the show but increasingly feel like I'm missing things.
For example, I just rewatched the conversation between Feigie and the Rabbi where he asks her to be open to a match. He acknowledges her feelings for him, but then talks about will and infinity and I just didn't get it.
The conversation ends with Faigie mentioning how the girl who got attacked by the dog mentioned to her the issue with the fiance and she wasn't sure if the girl expected Faigie to do something about it. Rabbi just smiled wisely and said "Tov meod". Again, left with feeling of "what just happened"? (Rabbi approves of Faigie's consideration?)
And then, at the meet-up with the fiance, the verbal dueling between Faigie and the Ethiopian girl felt similarly out-of-the-blue.
Anyway, these are smallish examples but representative of what seems like a very elliptical style that I'm wondering if others have picked up on (?)
