I enjoy parts of "Bloody Murray," but find the Murray character so unpleasant, it's often hard to watch. In the last episode (4), the show, at times, clearly shows how awful she is: self-absorbedly enjoying the free dessert she scammed from the restaurant as her grandmother has an attack. Then her bartender ex-boyfriend speaks for the viewer by calling her a disgusting narcissist.
Yet, overall, the show seems to want us to accept her and her flaws as delightfully quirky. Reminds me of the Hodaya character in Srugrim. Perhaps Murray will undergo some character arc where she grows and addresses her horribleness, but it still seems that Israeli TV has a soft spot for these types. Why?
