That last scene in the film you are referencing is the character portrayed by Daniel Auteil meeting up with his family in the Free Zone in France where they resided until he could meet up with them.

That's what I thought but we hadn't seen his wife in 1 1/4 hours so I wasn't sure. That closure was a bit too shott. But so glad I saw. And you offered. Happy (secular) new year
