I am looking for a movie that came out in the 90s about a friendship between an Israeli soldier and a Palestinian man, I think a prisoner. This movie came out when I lived in Japan. I remember the advertisement poster showed the two men racing on a beach maybe. Any ideas?

The movie is “The Bubble” that came out in 2006. You can stream it on the Strand releasing channel via Prime video.
Stephen!
Yes! The movie I have been looking for is "Beyond the Walls".
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
What movies or series do you recommend?
I'm glad! You're quite welcome it's fun to research these things.
I've just got onto this site so don't have much.... I did enjoy "The Women's Balcony" and "Doubtful" - which is very tragic though.
Have you watched "Srugim" ? I thought it was very good.
Added it now thanks for the recommendation!
Jay Sachs asked if I know his cousin Ava Quinn. I do not know her. Jay, where would I know her from?
NYC. I saw you were from NYC. Ava is now at Columbia, but a few months ago she mentioned she knew a Ben Sherman who attends Chapman University where my niece is also a student. I wondered if you were the same Ben Sherman. Jewish geography :)
A follow-up-I see from your first post that you reference a 90's movie which implies you're not in the age range of Ava or my niece. Sorry...
Sorry, Jay, wrong Ben Sherman. I am the Ben Sherman who was in Young Judaea from Astoria, Queens.
I do have a daughter, Anna, who is at Columbia in grad school in climate studies. Does your Ava know my Anna?
Otherwise, do you have any movie recommendations here that I must watch?
Ava is an undergrad in Jewish studies so I doubt they know each other. I just joined Chai last month. I've binged on some TV series. I particularly like "Checkout" , a "mockumentary", about a dysfunctional Israeli supermarket in "The Office" style. Every character has their own mishigas, and each actor is perfect for their role. I've enjoyed "Significant Other" a droll rom-com of 40+ year old neighbors. I watched "Nowhere in Africa" . I'd give it a 7/10. Any suggestions?
