Winter Journey
Watch Now Exclusively on ChaiFlicks! | American radio host Martin Goldsmith never knew what happened to his parents before they escaped from Germany in 1941. Both were talented musicians, but after the Nuremberg Laws were enacted in 1935 they were only able to perform as members of the Jewish Cultural Federation, a remarkable propaganda organization fully controlled by the Reich Chamber of Culture. Over the course of several months, Goldsmith confronts his father (portrayed by the legendary Bruno Ganz in his final tour-de-force performance) in this intimate, riveting exploration of loss, homeland, and occupation.
Directed by Academy Award nominee Anders Østergaard and based on Martin Goldsmith's best-selling book "The Inextinguishable Symphony: A True Story of Music and Love in Nazi Germany," WINTER JOURNEY premieres this Saturday, October 21st exclusively on ChaiFlicks!
