In 1969, Palestinian terrorist Leila Khaled hijacked an airplane full of civilians in Rome. This act of terrorism caught the world’s attention, turning Khaled into an icon for a new generation of Palestinian resistance.

Forty years later, Lina Makboul — a young Palestinian now living in Sweden — traces Khaled’s actions and asks a piercing question: Did her acts actually damage, rather than improve, the chances of their struggle?
