“Sinai” is a short film and provocative dark comedy about a Jewish man who, burdened by generations of inherited trauma, decides he no longer wants to be Jewish. When neither a rabbi nor a white supremacist will accept his “resignation,” he embarks on a surreal, darkly humorous journey in search of a way to shed his identity. Along the way, he is forced to confront what heritage, belonging and Jewish identity truly mean to him. The short stars Jordan Bielsky, Emma Fitzpatrick (The Social Network, Paranormal Activity 2), Danny Jacobs (the voice of King Julien in the Madagascar franchise), Jonathan Slavin (Better Off Ted, Andy Richter Controls the Universe), and Maury Sterling (Homeland, The Rookie).
